The route, weather it be from Punta Arenas or from Ushuaia, will pass by some of the most breathtaking wilderness regions in the World. You will see glaciers, geographic beauty and marine life. For those who are keen, on the Punta Arenas to Ushuaia route you will also see Cape Horn.

The Australis ships comprise the Mare Australis and Via Australis. They operate a cruise service for passengers only between Punta Arenas in Chile to Ushuaia in Argentina and from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas.

Each of the ships below offer an “intimate-style” whereupon passengers will be able to get to know other people on board (if so wished). Services are personalized.

Punta Arenas to Ushuaia

The route Punta Arenas to Ushuaia is a 4 night / 5 day adventure.

Departures are on a Saturday and Tuesday.

Check-in is to 17:00hrs and boarding at 18:00hrs.

Ushuaia to Punta Arenas

The route Ushuaia to Punta Arenas is a 3 night / 4 day adventure.

Departures are on a Wednesday and Saturday.

Check-in is to 16:00hrs and boarding at 18:00hrs

The Mare Australis

Has 5 passenger decks and 64 good quality cabins, each with private bathroom facilities. It is 71.83m long and 13.4m wide.
