One of the best ways to keep your independence and be able to go where you want when you want is by having use of your own car.

We work with an exceptionally good local car operator and can offer very competitive rates for a range of saloon cars, pick –up trucks and 2 x 4 or 4 x 4 jeeps.

One word of caution, if you look around for car rental prices, most of the web sites for the well-known brands will NOT include the local insurance and other local costs and the customer (ie you) ends up being clobbered for extra costs upon arrival, even though at first glance you think you have a good rate.

Note: People who rent cars must be 25yrs of age or older. To enter Argentina will require a permit which has a cost. To get the permit we need dates of intended crossing in to Argentina, full names of drivers, ages, nationalities and passport numbers.

Note: If you take a car in to Torres del Paine and embark on one of the hikes such as the “W”, you will need to consider where you leave the car because you will need to be able to get back to it at the end of the hike. This may involve a logistical complication if you depend on the regular bus to get you from one point to another. We will, of course, work this out for you if you become our client.
