The Hotel Rio Serrano is located in the newly-emerging village of "Villa Serrano" about 7km from the Torres del Paine Park Admin, in the Western end of the Park and beside the clear waters of the Rio Serrano.
It is has a style of "glitz and flashiness" that some would say is not best suited to the beautiful natural surroundings of Torres del Paine. It aims to be a 5-star-level hotel, but falls short of this target with is poor staff service and low food quality.
Bedrooms are modern, spacious and with modern en-suite bathrooms. The superior rooms enjoy a spectacular view across the plain to the jaw-dropping Central Massif of Torres del Paine. The lobby is large and similar to what you would find in a 5-star city hotel. The restaurant offers buffet-style cuisine.
No one has any idea why there is a mini golf course in the front and it is out of place in the beautiful surroundings of Torres del Paine.
If you want a decent bed, warm room, great views of the Cuernos of Paine, but are not so bothered about service or food quality then Hotel Rio Serrano is perfectly acceptable.
